Abstract
This article, using the method of rational analysis and with regard to the teachings of the Quran, seeks to introduce a paradigm derived from Islamic wisdom about the environment. The findings of the article show: First, nature and the environment are the act and sign of God, therefore they are sacred. Second, a significant part of the creatures of the environment, namely plants, animals and humans, have degrees and ranks of abstraction, and the abstract creature enjoys a superior position in the existential hierarchy and has a superior existential dignity. Therefore, in addition to the intrinsic value of the environment, we should also talk about the sacred and divine value of the environment. Second, in interacting with the environment, humans are faced with creatures with perception and consciousness, and their interaction is elevated from the level of interaction with material and physical objects to interaction with a creature that is a sign of God. Thirdly, in the Ayat and Qudsi view of the environment, man is not originally the owner of nature and the environment, nor does he have the sovereignty and domination of the subject over the object, but rather he is the trustee and protector of nature and the environment, and his actions in nature and the environment are defined in the light of reason and the laws of the owner of nature. This type of attitude towards the environment, which is applied by preserving its intrinsic value and existential dignity, has a significant impact on the path to human perfection; accordingly, any type of occupation and interference of human factors in the environment that is carried out outside the planning and ruling of reason and Sharia, contradicts the Qodsi and Ayat view of the environment.
